Term Time Teachers are working with a primary school in Tunbridge Wells to find an experienced Year 2 teacher. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily teaching and learning of all students in the class, ensuring a high standard of education and supporting each child's development. This is a temporary contract covering the spring and summer terms.

As a Year 2 teacher, you will assist students in their learning and development, creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere. You will play an essential role in boosting students confidence and supporting the growth of their academic abilities.

The school itself encourages the children to develop positive attitudes towards learning and to achieve high standards in all that they do. The have a team of caring and highly motivated staff, who provide a stimulating environment in which all children are provided with a variety of learning experiences.

Your key responsibilities as a year 2 teacher:

  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to ensure lessons are interactive and enjoyable.
  • Track individual progress and address any areas where students may need additional support.
  • Differentiate teaching methods and materials to cater to varying abilities and learning styles.
  • Work closely with school staff to support student learning and well-being.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, attendance, and behaviour.
  • Stay calm and composed when managing challenging behaviour.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils
  • Work in accordance with the legal requirements and policies of the school.

Requirements:

  • Have QTS.
  • Strong knowledge of the key stage 2 curriculum.
  • Have previous experience working as an effective and outstanding primary teacher.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be happy to apply.
  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
  • Be able to provide two references within the last 2 years.
