Term Time Teachers are partnering with a primary school in Tunbridge Wells that is seeking an experienced Year 5 teacher. As a Year 5 teacher, you will be responsible for the daily teaching and learning for all students in the class, ensuring a high standard of education and support for each child's development. This is a temp contract covering the spring and summer term.

As a Year 5 teacher, you will support students in their learning and development. You will play a key role in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment, helping students build their confidence and enhance their academic skills.

Your key responsibilities as a Year 5 Teacher:

  • Possess a creative approach and the ability to deliver engaging and dynamic lessons.
  • Foster a classroom environment that is positive, stimulating, and inspiring, offering both challenges and engagement for students.
  • Promote participation of all students in both learning and extracurricular activities.
  • Stay calm and composed when managing challenging behaviour.
  • Work in accordance with the legal requirements and policies of the school.
  • Demonstrate patience and understanding in addressing the diverse needs of children.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students and staff.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils

Requirements:

  • Have QTS.
  • Strong knowledge of the key stage 2 curriculum.
  • Have previous experience working as an effective and outstanding primary teacher.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be happy to apply.
  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
  • Be able to provide two references within the last 2 years.
