Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor – Tunbridge Wells

Salary: £40,000 - £65,000 per annum
Location: Office-based (Must be within 1 hour’s drive of Tunbridge Wells)

ITS is recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a well-established Main Contractor. Specialising in commercial, retail, industrial, and leisure projects, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving team and contribute to high-profile developments.

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of projects, ensuring profitability and success. Key responsibilities include:

Managing all commercial aspects to maximise profitability and cash flow
Assessing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
Preparing and presenting monthly cost reports (forecasting, CVR, risk & opportunity)
Working closely with clients to agree valuations and variations
Providing commercial and contractual support to project teams
Overseeing sub-contractor procurement, valuations, and payments
Supporting estimating teams with tendering processes

What We’re Looking For

Experience in commercial, retail, industrial, and leisure projects (up to £15m)
Strong commercial management skills throughout the project lifecycle
Knowledge of JCT & NEC contracts
Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience)
Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail
Main contractor experience is essential
