Job Title: Product Support Coordinator (Diesel Engines / Rolling Stock)Location: Tunbridge Wells, (with occasional use of Hastings Depot).Salary: £48,000 - £55,000 per annum - DOE.Contract: Full-time, 45 hours per week.Working Hours: Days only.About the Role:We are seeking a highly motivated Product Support Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in ensuring our products consistently meet customer expectations. This hands-on position is focused on reliability, customer support, and maintenance coordination for our engines and rolling stock products. With responsibility for two direct reports (expanding to four), you will lead by example, balancing technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities.Key Responsibilities:* Customer Support: Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and resolving issues promptly. Keep customers informed about defect repairs and maintenance schedules.* Reliability Focus: Analyse raised defects, plan repairs, and manage maintenance exams, ensuring minimal downtime.* Team Leadership: Supervise a growing team, guiding them to deliver high-quality results and ensuring seamless collaboration.* Maintenance Coordination: Update trackers, plan and manage materials, and oversee AAW works during exams and ad-hoc repairs.* Hands-On Engagement: Participate in exams, fault finding, and repairs when necessary to ensure customer needs are met.Essential Qualifications:* Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering ONC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent.Desirable Qualifications:* HNC/HND level, NVQ Level 4, or a Foundation degree.* Project Management or NEBOSH/IOSH certification.Skills and Experience:* Proven ability in fault finding and hands-on technical work.* Experience with rolling stock. * Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams across multiple locations.* Comprehensive understanding of health and safety legislation.* Proficient in IT, particularly MS Excel, with experience in creating detailed technical reports.* Familiarity with lean tools such as 5S to enhance efficiency.What We Offer:* Competitive salary (£48,000 - £55,000).* Opportunity to grow a team and make a significant impact on operational reliability.* A dynamic and collaborative work environment focused on continuous improvement.* Van, mobile, equipment provided.
