This secondary school is seeking a dedicated Study Supervisor (Cover Supervisor) to join their successful and friendly team. The role is crucial in maintaining continuity of learning during class teacher absence. Day-to-day of the role:
- Supervising classes and ensuring a constructive learning environment during teacher absence.
- Adapting to varying subjects and year groups, maintaining the school’s standard of discipline and behaviour.
- Encouraging students to engage with the set work and assisting them where necessary.
- Managing classroom resources and ensuring the classroom is left in good order at the end of the session.
- Liaising with teaching staff to ensure smooth transitions and effective communication regarding class activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to different classes and subject matters.
- Enjoy working with young people and fostering a positive learning environment.
- Previous experience in an educational establishment is desirable but not essential.
