As a Senior Staff Nurse - Wards (Band 6), you will:

  • Ensure the delivery of the highest standard of patient care during procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality of care provided, ensuring it meets hospital and national guidelines.
  • Implement and adhere to infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment.
  • Liaise with various departments across the hospital to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with doctors, nurses, and support staff to coordinate patient care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and plan patient care strategies.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health and well-being.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with complex and changing health needs.
  • Monitor patients' progress and make adjustments to care plans as necessary.
  • Actively promote and implement best nursing practices within the ward.
  • Identify areas for improvement in patient care and work with the team to develop and implement solutions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits to enhance patient care and service delivery.
