This is a permanent position ideal for a compassionate individual with a commitment to providing exceptional education and support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Day-to-day of the role:
- Develop and deliver individualised lesson plans that cater to the needs of students with ASD.
- Employ a range of teaching strategies to engage and support students with varying levels of autism.
- Create a structured and nurturing classroom environment that helps students feel safe and motivated to learn.
- Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and families to maximise student success.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with students with ASD or other special educational needs.
- Knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice and safeguarding procedures.
