We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher, specialising in Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), to join our supportive team. This is a permanent position located in the Mid-Kent area, ideal for a professional who is committed to making a significant difference in the lives of students with complex educational needs.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver individualised lessons that cater to the specific needs of each student with PMLD.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment that encourages students to engage and progress.
  • Utilise a range of teaching methods and sensory equipment to facilitate communication and learning.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and other professionals to implement effective teaching strategies and interventions.
  • Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet their evolving needs.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and carers, providing updates on student progress and involving them in the learning process.
  • Participate in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practices and stay up-to-date with the latest educational research.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with PMLD or similar SEN settings.
  • Knowledge of the PMLD curriculum and a variety of teaching methods to support students with complex needs.
