Term Time Teachers have partnered with a special educational needs school based in Tunbridge Wells to find an experienced and motivated Special Needs Teacher. There is part-time and full time roles available, ready to start immediately or January 2025.
As a Special Needs Teacher, you will have the opportunity to provide personalised lessons for students with diverse special educational needs. You will collaborate with fellow teaching staff to foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Within the school, the pupils' well-being and engagement is central to all the decision making, they promote "Skills for Life and Independence" so that when pupils leave they are prepared for the next phase in their lives and have the best opportunities.
Key responsibilities as a Special Needs Teacher:
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with special educational needs.
- Monitoring students' progress, offering constructive feedback, and adapting teaching methods as needed.
- Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel respected and motivated to learn.
- Remaining calm and composed when managing challenging behaviour.
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
Requirements:
- Hold QTS
- Knowledge and understanding of a range of special educational needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and behavioural difficulties.
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
- Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be happy to apply.
- Be able to provide two references within the last 2 years.
