Travel Consultant

Lloyd Recruitment Services is working with a well-established and growing travel company based in Tunbridge Wells, looking to recruit an experienced Travel Consultant to join their busy team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in the travel industry, such as a tour operator or group travel agency, who enjoys curating bespoke itineraries, managing group bookings, and building strong B2B relationships with clients and suppliers.

  • Hybrid working: 4 days office-based, 1 day remote

About the Role:

As a Travel Consultant, you'll be the main point of contact for customers planning travel within the UK and overseas. You'll be responsible for building tailored itineraries, coordinating bookings, and ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish. The role also offers the chance to attend familiarisation trips and travel-related events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling incoming travel enquiries and managing bookings
  • Creating bespoke itineraries based on client specifications and budgets
  • Coordinating bookings for transport, accommodation, activities, meals, and guides
  • Working with suppliers to secure services at competitive rates
  • Preparing travel documents, proposals, and quotes with high attention to detail
  • Supporting B2B sales activity via warm trade calls and maintaining client relationships
  • Attending UK and international trade events and networking opportunities

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience within the travel trade or group travel sector is essential
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and ability to manage multiple bookings at once
  • Comfortable building rapport with both clients and suppliers
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and general booking systems
  • A full UK driving licence is required (car ownership preferred)
  • Fluency in French is desirable, but not essential
