The company are a global leading manufacturing company situated in Burton Upon Trent. Their head office in the UK is an impressive building, with a full training facility on site. Due to continued expansion, they now have a rare opportunity for a Technical Service Engineer to join the business. They offer a competitive basic salary circa to 30k to 35k with Annual Bonus, Hybrid Working ( days in the office and 2 days at home per week), 25 days holiday + bank holidays, Salary Sacrifice Pension Scheme, Life Cover, Medical Cover, ongoing training and development.
The Technical Service Engineer will report to the Operations Manager, your role is to support the Field Service Engineers and sub-contractors. Provide telephone technical support to customers. To prepare quotations for Service work including, but not limited to installation, commissioning, remedial work and contract business as per specification, as required by the customer and in line with their expectations. Responsible for developing relationships within selected key accounts by providing one to one support for all technical quotes and enquiries.
Responsibilities of the Technical Service Engineer:
- Must have ability to relay accurate details to customer base and Field Service
- To be able to submit quotation on time to customers
- Thorough knowledge of operations and procedures for entering quotes, new jobs and orders onto Service Management System.
- To supply Business KPI's
- To give first class customer service according to the client's standards
- Work to ensure efficient processing of customer enquiries and orders
- Interface for the external Sales team for Projects
- To ensure that telephones are covered throughout the working day
- Acquire new customers from both the service and sales data bases
- To be self-motivated and be able to work on own initiative
Requirements for the Technical Service Engineer:
- Technical Service Engineering or Technical Sales background is required
- Applicants will need to have worked with a product range for an engineering or manufacturing company
- Be a confident communicator who has worked with Field Service Engineers, Sales Teams and the Customer.
- Experience working with National Accounts, Key Accounts or Project Management capabilities are all highly desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of both Word and Excel
