Job requirements:

  • To supervise the day-to-day duties of the Stores and stores personnel, ensuring the stores team deliver and achieve all store's applicable performance metrics.
  • - Utilise ERP systems (SAP) to maintain accurate inventory records, track stock levels, and manage materials.
  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) products.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize stock discrepancies and ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to forecast inventory needs and place orders accordingly.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor and analyse inventory performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in adherence to the Company's Health and Safety Policy at all times.
  • Train and supervise store personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and adherence to procedures.
  • Drive operational excellence by continuously improving processes, reducing waste, and enhancing efficiency within the store's operations.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and supplies.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as an Engineering Stores Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in SAP systems and other inventory management software.
  • Intermediate Excel skills and MS Office.
  • Experience and knowledge of MRO & OEM products and industrial supply chain.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
