Are you an experienced Scrap Metal Trader with a background in purchasing ferrous materials? Our client, a leading player in the metal recycling industry, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven individual to join their team.
As a Scrap Metal Trader, the successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing ferrous materials, developing supplier relationships, and ensuring competitive pricing to maximize profitability. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong industry knowledge and a keen eye for market trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and procuring ferrous scrap metal from a network of suppliers.
- Negotiating competitive pricing and contracts to maximize margins.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and industry contacts.
- Monitoring market trends and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in scrap metal trading, specifically in ferrous materials.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- A results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently.
- A commercial and growth mindset.
- Excellent market knowledge and commercial awareness.
Package Details
- Competitive salary (negotiable depending on experience).
- Company Car Allowance £5,000
- A highly attractive quarterly bonus structure.
- Monday to Friday 08:15 – 16:45
- 23 days annual leave + Bank Holiday
