Kenny Recruit have partnered with a growing marketing communications business to find a Financial Controller on a permanent basis. Our client provides a high energy, dynamic, friendly supportive working environment. They offer a variety of services to a range of businesses; the services that they offer help to market their clients meaning that their businesses grow.

As the Financial Controller you will look after the finance function, supporting two team members and reporting into the Head of Finance and Operations. We are looking for someone who is enjoys implementing process or making current processes more efficient, someone who is progressive and someone who is a leader. You would ideally be qualified or studying towards your ACCA or CIMA.

Pay:£50,000 - £55,000 per annum (depending on experience) + benefits + discretionary bonus

Location: West London (3 days in the office)

Working Hours:9am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility over finance function
  • Providing management team with financial information to support business strategy
  • Supervising and assisting with a variety of day-to-day financial operations
  • Assist with preparation and review monthly management accounts
  • Maintain cashflow forecast, accruals and prepayments sheets
  • Responsible for financial reporting and legal compliance (e.i VAT, CT, P11d, PSA, PAYE&NI, ONS, HMRC surveys)
  • Cash management
  • Proactively develop and maintain robust internal processes and controls
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Prepare monthly budget variance report including commentary
  • Prepare monthly payroll information
  • Support the team in day-to-day tasks
  • Set up team objectives
  • Responsible for finance KPIs
  • Lead and mentor the team members
  • Other tasks as required

Requirements:

  • A professional accounting qualification
  • Previous experience in similar role
  • Proven experience of using accounting software High degree of accuracy
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work within a team, both collaboratively and as a leader
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Able to prioritise workload and manage peaks and troughs effectively
  • Driven, positive and have a proactive attitude
