Job Title: Recruitment and Resourcing Assistant
Location: Richmond, Hybrid working (1-day minimum office)
Hourly rate £13.93 Per Hour PAYE
Contract Length: 6-month contract (possibility of extension)
Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 36 hours

Role purpose:
- To contribute to the provision of a high-quality comprehensive recruitment service, ensuring the timely appointment to vacancies across the SSA which is consistent with policy, legislative requirements, and best practice.
- Ensure delivery of recruitment team's key performance Indicators (KPI's) relating to time to hire.
- To deliver exceptional customer service to all services within the SSA.
- The post holder will usually be the initial point of contact with members of the public interested in working for the SSA.
- To gain understanding of SSA recruitment policy standards and be proactive in ensuring the team can deliver a service that meets the agreed standards and targets.
- Using Tribepad / iTrent systems to manage and progress recruitment through to onboarding.
Duties:
- To manage the recruitment and onboarding process for all posts within designated area and action within timeline of key performance indicators.
- Responsible for ensuring all pre-employment checks for successful candidates are undertaken and meet the required SSA standards, including; verification of identity, right to work in the UK, professional registration and qualifications, references, DBS check and occupational health, in line with SSA requirements. Highlighting any discrepancies to the Recruitment and Retention Advisor or Management Team.
- Ensure all new starters information is entered onto iTrent within set payroll deadlines each month. Ensuring timely notifications to Payroll of all recruitment contractual changes to prevent under/over payments to staff.
- Provide effective advice and guidance to applicants and hiring managers to ensure they have an effective and enjoyable recruitment experience.
- Process contractual documentation and onboarding for new appointments.
- Competently operate and be able to advise on the use of Applicant Tracking System (Tribepad), and the HR / Pay system (iTrent).
Knowledge, skills & experience:
- Work of a technical administrative nature in an HR environment or similar, dealing with members of the public, managers, employees, and external agencies.
- Up to date working knowledge of employment legislation applicable to resourcing, recruitment, selection and issuing of employment contracts.
- Experience of working in a customer focused operation, delivering high levels of customer service with attention to detail.
- ICT skills, particularly accurate data input and working knowledge of office 360.
- Experience handling compliance in recruitment, e.g right to work checks, DBS applications, contracts etc.
