Renowned for our high-quality work and excellent customer service, we are seeking an experienced and fully qualified Domestic Gas Engineer with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the field. As a Gas Service Engineer, your role will involve carrying out high-quality maintenance and servicing while ensuring all gas work complies with Gas Safety Regulations.
We are looking for an engineer who is passionate about the trade, takes pride in good workmanship, and enjoys working both independently and as part of a team, sharing knowledge and problem-solving skills.You must be able to work well and professionally under pressure and be open to working on commercial and domestic projects.
Candidates must hold a full, valid driving license with a minimum of 2 years' driving experience and be comfortable driving a company van.Areas covered include, but are not limited to, Twickenham, Teddington, Richmond, Kew, Chiswick, Chelsea, Kingston, Surbiton - mainly West London.
Tasks will include:
- Competently undertaking multi-trade servicing, repair and installation works in accordance with current Gas Safety Regulations and internal standards, policies and procedures.
- Assisting with appliance and system installations.
- Carrying out planned maintenance checks/services on systems and equipment.
- Wiring central heating systems.
- Repairing and installing heating controls.
- Testing controls and safety devices of central heating systems for fault finding.
- Finding and repairing gas leaks using computerised fault-finding equipment.
- Replacing and repairing faulty gas appliances.
- Installing / repairing central heating system pipework.
- Partaking in other service trades such as plumbing, electrical, air conditioning and refrigeration (prerequisite knowledge of these services is not essential and this is an opportunity for engineers to learn new trades).
On a daily basis youll be responsible for:
- Carrying out a variety of work, mainly diagnostics and breakdowns but also emergency repairs to annual servicing.
- Visiting customers with prearranged appointments via our scheduling team, where you will carry out a variety of work including servicing, repairs, diagnostics and commissioning to warranty and contract customers.
- Reporting to the lead engineers and office via a job management software, updating the TW Services team throughout the day on the progress of each job.
- Providingexcellent customer service through clear and effective communication.
- Creating reports upon client requests and relay information on-site about gas and heating to customers. Liaising confidently in a professional manner is crucial.
- Managing your van stock by ensuring all used or faulty parts and materials are logged and replenished
- Full-time role, working 47.5 hours per week
