Ambitious Administrator with the potential to learn CAD Software

This role would be suited to someone looking to acquire their first or second job role and wishing to gain the varied experience that a small company can offer. The successful candidate will have lots of initiative and be able to take responsibility for the administration within the small office and really make the role their own. You will have lots of initiative and ambition and be able to see what needs to be done and do it.
This role is crucial to the smooth running of the company’s design and administrative processes and to ensure that the rest of the team has support to work efficiently.
This is a role which can evolve within the business and requires a versatile employee who is happy to assist and add value to the organisation, plus be proactive and look for areas of the business which could be improved, as well as implement ways to do so.
Some experience as an office administrator and familiarity with Microsoft Office would be beneficial, but training will be given.
Role Requirements:
- Can be an entry level role but the candidate requires the ability to develop within the role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, plus organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Confident speaking on the telephone and providing good customer service.
- Being thorough, with attention to detail, (which is essential to avoid costly mistakes).
- Process driven and able to use initiative when required.
- Be a team player with the ability to manage the role independently.
- Multi-tasker and able to handle pressure when the office is busy.
- An interest in learning and self-development.
- An interest in social media and business development.
- An interest in supporting the CAD Design team.
Role Responsibilities:
- Answering emails and telephone enquiries.
- Diary management and office scheduling.
- Inputting business / customer information into a bespoke IT system.
- Logging, evaluating, and distributing new customers’ leads.
- Project managing customers’ orders from start to finish.
- Requesting customers’ payments.
- Liaising with the warehouse team to ensure accurate order processing.
- Managing stock orders.
- Updating suppliers’ price lists and other office data.
- Preparation and despatch of retail materials to stores.
- Researching new business opportunities.
- Updating social media postings.
- General office administration, e.g., ordering stationery, kitchen supplies, stamps, etc.
- Office postal duties.
- Filing and archiving.
Future Role Development:
To learn company CAD software to assist the CAD team with customers’ drawings.
Potential to develop further CAD and design skills for the right candidate.
Monday - Friday, 9am - 5.30pm (office based)
ÂŁ26.000P.A.
Potential to increase to £27,000.00 per annum on passing the six months’ probation period.
Potential to increase to £28,000.00 per annum after twelve months’ employment and post a role development review on passing the six months’ probation period.
