My Client is a fast growing and dynamic Removals company based in West London. We provide customised removal packages for any type of property in London to anywhere in the UK. While we offer many removals options, our combined package of packing, storage and moving is a firm customer favourite.
My Client is currently seeking a reliable, skilled, and customer-focused Removal Van Driver to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent time management skills, and a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the removal van is safe and ready for operation
Safely load and unload clients' belongings, taking care to prevent damage during transportation
Operate the removal van in a responsible manner, adhering to traffic laws and regulations
Plan efficient routes to and from clients' locations, considering traffic, construction, and road closures
Maintain punctuality and adhere to established schedules for pickups and deliveries
Provide professional and courteous customer service, addressing any client concerns or questions
Maintain accurate records of miles driven, hours worked, and expenses incurred
Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks and report any issues to the appropriate personnel
Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient moving process for clients
Follow company guidelines and procedures related to safety, customer service, and overall job performance
Requirements:
Valid driver's licence with appropriate class/endorsement for 3.5 tonne vehicles (normal UK Class B)
Clean driving record free of major traffic violations or accidents
Prior experience driving removal vans or similar vehicles preferred
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
Good physical fitness, able to load and unload heavy items safely
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
