CAD Technician (South West London)

South West London/Hybrid

Monday to Friday

Hours: 8am-5pm (3pm finish on a Friday)

£25,000 to £27,500

This is an exciting role for an experienced CAD Technician to join an international company with a strong focus on staff retention and development.

CAD Technician Company Profile:

CAD Technician Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed building layouts from hand-drawn surveys or CAD files for new and redesigned self-storage facilities.
  • Design simple room layouts to complex multi-tier mezzanine floors, adhering to industry standards, including building regulations and fire safety.
  • Ensure quick turnaround and attention to detail, translating project requirements into accurate, professional designs for diverse clients.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to provide project details and assist with on-site challenges.
  • Produce material quantity estimates for Sales team quotations.
  • Consult with Sales and Project Managers to ensure design plans meet project expectations.
  • Develop "as-built" plans for completed projects.

CAD Technician Company Profile:

Essential:

  • Proficient in AutoCAD Architecture, with proven experience in architectural/construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Flexible, with a 'can-do’ attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and understanding of architectural design and space planning.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguous design elements and adept at problem-solving.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across various platforms (email, Teams, phone).
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple projects at different stages.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Revit.
  • Knowledge of building regulations in construction.
  • Understanding of mezzanine flooring design processes.
