Children Social Worker

Twickenham

Full Time: Mon - Fri 36/hrs a week

Hatched Recruitment is working closely with the local authorities in the Twickenham area. Contract role for 3 - 6 months with chance of extension. Expectation is for the team to be in the office / out in the community 3 days a week.

The expectation of this role is:

- Supporting children and young people by undertaking child protection investigations alongside safety and contingency planning

- Building strong and respectful working relationships with families, their support network and our partner agencies

- Work on cases with increased complexity, including court work and pre-proceedings experience

- Contribute to team management, deputising for the team leaders and potentially supervising work of an ASYE or students

- Ensuring that children and young people are actively involved in our work and their voice is captured in our case recording

- Actively taking part in reflective supervision and group supervision

Qualifications

? Educated to a degree level with a relevant professional qualification in social work

? Successful completion of Assessed and Supported Year of Employment (ASYE)

? Active Social Work England registration and proven evidence of continuing professional development.

Skills and experience

? Experience of building strong partnerships, maintaining relationships and co-producing solutions to challenges across a diverse set of stakeholders, including children, young people and their families. Advocating the voices of those we are working with.

? Proven ability to effectively use research, data, intelligence and evidence to create meaningful insight and to inform own decision making.

? Experience of keeping and maintaining records (in accordance with local policy) and producing accurate reports, presentations, written updates to a range of stakeholders (which will include

families, children or young people).

? Knowledge of statutory legislation and national policy drivers that will affect children's services and your role.
