Mechanical Design Engineer - Temporary Position

Engagement Type: PAYE (on-payroll)
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 6 to 12 months
Qualification: ONC / OND in mechanical engineering or equivalent

Job Purpose:

Design mechanical solutions for the Facility Design Authority (FDA) ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop mechanical designs aligned with safety and performance standards.
  • Maintain design integrity throughout the lifecycle, coordinating with other disciplines.
  • Ensure compliance with ESH&Q standards and statutory requirements.
  • Flag concerns to Principal Engineer as needed.


Requirements:
Essential: ONC / OND in mechanical engineering knowledge of relevant legislation.
Desirable: HNC / HND in mechanical engineering familiarity with nuclear or high hazard environments.
Skills: Proficient in office software and engineering tools.
Regulatory: Must be able to work on a nuclear licensed site.
