Highways Maintenance Supervisor
My client is a large civils company that specialises in the maintenance of Highways through out the UK.
They are currently seeking an experienced supervisor to oversee the Re-active Maintenance aspect of the contract. Supervising a variety of works such as:
- Kerbing
- Drainage
- Pedestrian Railings
- Signage Schemes
The supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the sub-contractors and working directly with the client. they will also be managing an in house workforce delivering some of the contract directly. Duties will include:
- Building a strong working relationship with the client
- Scheduling works to be carried out and liaising with relevant stakeholders such as Traffic Management
- Checking that the work has been carried out to a satisfactory standard and feeding back to sub-contractors where required.
- Programme Jobs
- Liaising with sub-contractors, client and other stakeholders to ensure works are carried out as required.
- Calculate the cost of works and liaise with client and sub-contractors
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience of working as a supervisor in the Highways maintenance sector
- Good IT skills
- A good knowledge of kerbing, drainage and other aspects relating to Highways Maintenance
- An ability to build strong relationships with clients, sub-contractors and other stakeholders
- Ability to plan works and ensure health and safety and other compliance is adhered to at all times.
