Post Summary

The Landlord and Tenant Department prepares and advises on landlord and tenant litigation matters. Typically, this is standard and accelerated possession matters, but can extend to defended proceedings, together with advice on relevant landlord and tenant legislation. Clients range from private landlords with a single property to large managing agents and insurance companies.

Your Role

Working in the Landlord and Tenant Litigation Department, overseen by a Solicitor, you will be responsible for assisting with the day to day running of the Department by providing administrative and clerical support to the team ensuring the smooth running of the Department.

This will include but is not limited to:

  • Running the new claims email inbox
  • Setting up new cases by inputting the information/documents onto the system
  • Preparing client care letters/compliance documents
  • Monitoring post in and scan/save to the electronic filing system.
  • Handle incoming phone calls, emails, and other inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate team members.
  • Printing documentation emailed to us and emailing out to Clients
  • Providing regular updates to clients
  • Preparing invoices and sending them out to clients

Competencies and Requirements

  • Attention to detail- due to the nature of the job, the candidate is required to be careful and very thorough when completing tasks.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Confident with good communication skills (both orally and in writing)
  • Able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft 365 Office and other relevant software.
