This role involves maintaining, repairing, and overhauling essential equipment, giving you the chance to expand your expertise in water treatment systems.

As a Mechanical Technician you will be required to:

  • Diagnose and repair on-site mechanical breakdowns.
  • Overhaul and service pumps, motors, screens, gearboxes, and other critical equipment.
  • Remove defective parts for workshop repairs and reinstall overhauled components.
  • Conduct inspections and diagnostics to ensure equipment operates efficiently.

  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and site procedures.

Experience Required

  • Recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably within water treatment or a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of pumps, motors, gearboxes, and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
