We have an exciting opportunity for a yard operative to join our client's team based at their Head Office near Uckfield, East Sussex. The yard operative is a fulltime position offering £15 to £20 per hour depending on experience.
Established for over 30 years, our client is a UK based specialist contractor, which provides its social housing clients with innovative structural repair solutions, including: Masonry Reinforcement, Remedial Lintel Installation, Remedial Wall Tie Installation and Concrete Repair & Protection.
They are currently looking for a yard operative to join the team at head office to assist with the organisation of the workshop, stores and yard and the maintenance and development of the yard and buildings. Work will also be required on site from time to time so would suit someone with previous building site experience. The yard person will from time to time undertake deliveries, site clearances in addition to labouring duties on site.
The successful candidates will:
- Have a background in construction
- Have a CSCS card (other H&S training an advantage)
- Be an enthusiastic and proactive team player
- Be organised with excellent attention to detail
- Be willing to work at height
- Have a driving licence valid in the UK
- Have experience driving FLT & Telehandlers
Full health and safety training will be made available, along with training in various structural repair disciplines.
