We are currently recruiting for a talented Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic and well-established client who specialise in high-quality interior construction projects. With a focus on suspended ceilings, drywall, glazed partitions, carpentry, and SFS (Steel Framing Systems), this is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional with a passion for interiors to join a growing company with a reputation for excellence.

About the Role:

As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial success of projects, providing cost management support from the early stages of tendering to final account. You will work across a variety of interior construction projects, managing the costs associated with suspended ceilings, drywall installations, glazed partitions, carpentry, and SFS systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage accurate cost estimates and budgets for interior projects, including suspended ceilings, drywall, glazed partitions, carpentry, and SFS.
  • Measure, price, and submit tenders for new and existing projects.
  • Manage procurement of materials, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality.
  • Assist with contract administration, including managing variations and preparing cost reports.
  • Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the best possible prices.
  • Monitor and track project progress, identifying any potential cost overruns and providing solutions.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project progress, quality, and any variations that may affect costs.
  • Work closely with the project management team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Produce detailed cost reports, valuations, and final accounts for clients.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the interior construction industry, specifically with experience in suspended ceilings, drywall, glazed partitions, carpentry, and/or SFS projects.
  • A solid understanding of cost management and commercial awareness.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field (e.g., RICS accredited) is highly desirable.
  • Experience using quantity surveying software (e.g., COINS, Buildsoft, or similar) is an advantage
