Looking for an experienced Design Engineer with expertise in either temporary works/scaffolding or groundshoring/foundations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD, with Revit knowledge being a plus. This role involves both technical design and client-facing activities, ensuring that we meet the diverse needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Consultation: Engage with clients to understand project requirements and expectations through initial meetings and ongoing discussions.
- Presenting Design Concepts: Prepare and present innovative design proposals using visual aids such as sketches, AutoCAD drawings, or Revit models.
- Feedback Integration: Actively solicit and incorporate client feedback into design iterations to ensure alignment with project specifications.
- Site Visits: Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather firsthand information that may impact design decisions while discussing project progress with clients.
- Project Updates: Regularly update clients on project status, timelines, and potential issues to maintain clear communication and build trust.
- Problem Solving: Collaborate with clients to address challenges during the design phase, providing expert recommendations based on engineering principles.
- Documentation Preparation: Prepare technical documents and reports for client review, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all communications.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Coordinate with architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure all parties are aligned on project objectives and timelines.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a design engineering role related to temporary works, scaffolding, or foundations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; familiarity with Revit is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex engineering problems.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
