Our client is seeking a Finance Assistant to join their small but busy Finance Team on a full-time, permanent basis.

No formal qualifications are needed - just a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and the desire to grow and develop in the role. While previous experience in a busy office environment would be beneficial, full training and support will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the finance mailbox ensuring all incoming emails are dealt with in a timely manner, liaising with suppliers and colleagues to resolve queries.
  • Process all incoming invoices from suppliers, ensuring approvals and coding are correct.
  • Ensure all invoices are posted in the accounts within month end deadlines.
  • Process invoices paid by direct debit.
  • Reconcile supplier statements.
  • Support the preparation of the weekly supplier payments for the review in accounts software and import to bank. Send remittances to suppliers to confirm payments made.
  • Support purchasing team in ad-hoc purchasing.

Skills and Experience

  • IT literate, excel skills would be advantageous
