The Role:
We are recruiting an IPS Employment Specialist who will help job seekers navigate barriers, build confidence, and secure meaningful employment. You will provide tailored, one-on-one support across the region. You’ll work closely with individuals, empowering them to overcome challenges, build new skills, and thrive in the workplace. From offering guidance to building trust, you’ll be a key factor in helping individuals achieve long-term success in employment.

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of individuals, conducting thorough assessments to identify personal strengths and barriers to employment.
  • Design bespoke action plans tailored to each customer’s needs and career goals, addressing specific challenges they may face.
  • Guide customers through every step, from job applications to interview preparation, skills development, and workplace integration.
  • Help customers build self-confidence and independence through regular check-ins, goal setting, and consistent support.
  • Offer post-placement support, ensuring job retention by assisting with challenges that arise during employment.
     

Required Skills:

  • Experience working with job seekers or transferable skills in providing advice, guidance, or coaching.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and motivate others.
  • A proactive and empathetic approach to problem-solving and customer support.
  • A genuine passion for helping individuals overcome barriers and reach their potential.
  • The ability to set SMART goals and effectively track progress.


Due to the nature of this role, you will hold a driving licence and have access to your own vehicle, you will also be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
