Are you a Mechanical CAD Technician or similar with experience using 2D AutoCAD looking for an engaging new role within a market leading company who offer excellent work-life balance and a range of additional benefits?

This company are a market leading team who design, manufacture, test, install and commission high-voltage sub-station protection and control equipment. Established in the 1960's they aim to build strong partnerships with all clients and has resulted in an ever growing source of projects meeting their commitment to win multi-year framework contracts across multiple industries.

This role will involve the production of technical drawings in 2D AutoCAD as well as further responsibilities including site surveys and the production of Bills of Materials. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent time management skills when balancing multiple projects and be a strong communicator who is comfortable liaising with external stakeholders.

The Role:

  • Interpret customer's technical drawings and requirements and translate them into drawings suitable for approval
  • Occasionally go and perform site surveys (training provided)
  • Identify and inform the Project Coordinator on additional technical scope of work inclusive of material and labor costs
  • Respond to manufacturing and test queries throughout the project
  • Produce BOM's to enable procurement of all electrical schematics

The Person:

  • Previous experience with production of mechanical casing or capping drawings
  • Experience with 2D AutoCAD
  • Understanding of IEC61850 is beneficial but not necessary
