We are currently seeking a dynamic RE Teacher to join a school in Cumbria on a long-term basis, starting immediately. This role is ideal for someone with a strong knowledge of the curriculum, effective communication skills, and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging and informative lessons in Religious Education to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; teaching at KS5 would be an advantage.
  • Utilise strong subject knowledge to inspire and motivate students.
  • Maintain effective classroom management and discipline.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the teaching environment and educational experience.
  • Participate in and organise extracurricular activities, such as outings, social activities, and sporting events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Recent and relevant experience teaching RE at KS3 and KS4; experience at KS5 is advantageous.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with robust subject knowledge.
  • Reliable, committed, and capable of demonstrating qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
