We are currently seeking a dynamic Science Teacher to join a school in South Cumbria on a long-term basis, starting immediately. This role is ideal for someone with a strong knowledge of the curriculum, effective communication skills, and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging and informative Science lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; experience with KS5 is advantageous but not essential.
  • Utilise strong subject knowledge to enhance student learning and meet curriculum standards.
  • Maintain effective classroom management skills to create a conducive learning environment.
  • Demonstrate reliability and commitment to the role, acting as a good role model with qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
  • Work collaboratively with other teaching staff and contribute to the school’s objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Recent relevant experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 levels; KS5 experience is beneficial.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with robust subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to be trustworthy, punctual, patient, and confident when working with children.
