Industrial Cleaner
We are looking for a dedicated Industrial Cleaner to join our client'steam at an Industrial Waste Processing plant in Surrey. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of housekeeping and plant cleanliness. The primary responsibility is to ensure a clean and safe environment for all employees and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Utilise industrial power hoses and shovels to effectively clean general waste and maintain overall cleanliness of the site.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines, prioritising the well-being of oneself and others within the working environment.
- Follow designated cleaning schedules to consistently maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the plant.
- Assist in inspecting and maintaining cleaning equipment to ensure proper functioning and longevity.
- Collaborate with team members to identify areas that require specialised cleaning or repairs.
- Support the implementation of waste management procedures to optimise operational efficiency.
- Minimise the build-up of dust and foreign materials on all floor spaces and apparatus surfaces.
- Ensure all cleaning apparatus is maintained in a clean state.
- Operate all cleaning tools in a safe and thoughtful manner.
- Report any electrical or mechanical defects found on cleaning apparatus employed.
Requirements:
- Must be physically fit and capable of performing manual labour tasks, including operating industrial power hoses and shovels.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Key Information:
- Location: Upper Halliford
- Type:Full-time, 6-month contract
- Hours:Monday to Thursday (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM), Fridays (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM)
- Hourly Rate:11.80 per hour
