Position: Electronics Design Manager

Location: Manchester + Hybrid Work from Home

Salary: Up to 70,000

The Role: Our client is now looking for an Electronics Design Manager to lead a team of electronic engineers in the design and development of bespoke projects. Our client is a design consultancy who provide services to a host of clients across a range of industry sectors, and they are looking for an experienced, electronics professional with proven team leadership experience and a strong technical background, ideally across electronic design and embedded software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management and project lead tasks to enable to enable others to concentrate on the technical aspects
  • Interface with the clients to understand their requirements
  • Assist with the technical delivery of projects.
  • Estimating work required for a project and updating the estimates as projects progress
  • Assigning work and task packages whilst managing project progress
  • Keeping customers appraised of project progress, updated time estimates, and managing their expectations.
  • Assisting with writing specifications, project plans and other project related documentation

This role will best suit an experienced electronics engineer who has moved in to a team leader or management role and is looking to progress their career in a similar level role. You will be a hands on manager and take on the role of technical lead, so it is important you are still up to date technically. You will be a strong communicator, good person manager and have experience leading teams and technical projects to successful completion.

On offer is a salary of up to 70,000, 23 days holiday + Bank holidays, pension, private medical insurance and flexible hybrid work from home.
