This is a Days only Monday - Friday Role

Do you have experience leading small – medium sized maintenance teams in high-volume, complex environments?

Are you striving to develop world-class maintenance standards? Are you a natural frontline People Manager? if so, please read on!

This days-based role , Monday to Friday, and will suit an established maintenance engineering manager with experience in managing change  in a seasonal environment, as well as an aspiring Maintenance  Engineering Team Leader ready for a bigger role, more responsibility and exposure to EtoE supply process on days.

This role will lead all frontline engineering maintenance activities in your area, including GMP Manufacturing packaging, accountable for ensuring the efficient production of a variety of consumable products. It is FMCG at it’s finest!

Key Responsibilities – Engineering Maintenance Team Manager  - Days

  • Motivation of your maintenance  engineering team through effective leadership and coaching and development
  • Control of contractors & maintenance suppliers through effective performance reviews
  • Support Maintenance Excellence roadmap implementation plan for the site
  • Adherence to planned maintenance schedules through effective resource planning
  • Undertake analysis of CMMS data to assist planning, the opportunity for equipment improvement
  • Review maintenance activities and identify opportunities to improve cost-effectiveness
  • Drive and support Reliability Centred Maintenance/FMECA activities
  • You will devise and ensure a robust and responsive maintenance strategy, and develop contingencies which permit the whole site working regime to be supported fully by all areas of engineering
  • You will manage frontline craft engineers, multi-skilled, as well as contractors on Planned maintenance and shutdown activities
  • You will create, implement, and manage both maintenance and PPM plans for your area of the factory, utilising various operational methodologies such as supplier optimisation, minimal inventories, and asset management techniques
  • Monitor operational efficiency of all plant and equipment, identifying areas of under-performance or opportunity and implementing plans to deliver improvement.
  • Monitor plant reliability and capability to identify areas of issue or opportunity and implement plans to deliver improvement
  • People management including delivery of performance reviews, development and coaching of team

Your key deliverables are:

•Machine availability/downtime

•Machine efficiency

•Changeover & run-up performance.

•Achievement of Preventative Maintenance Plan – leading your shift technicians and engineers

Requirements - Engineering Maintenance Team Manager  - Days

  • Demonstrating experience ideally within an FMCG / Pharmaceutical / Process engineering environment in an engineering maintenance leadership role
  • You will have finely developed interpersonal and communication skills and the natural ability to inspire and lead teams
  • Undertake analysis of CMMS data to assist forward planning, equipment improvement
  • Review maintenance activities and identify opportunities to improve cost effectiveness
  • You will create, implement, and manage both maintenance and PPM plans for your area of the factory, utilising various operational methodologies such as supplier optimisation, minimal inventories, and asset management techniques
  • Monitor operational efficiency of all plant and equipment, identifying areas of under-performance or opportunity and implement plans to deliver improvement
  • A proven track record of the meeting agreed performance targets and reporting skills are also crucial to the success of this role
  • You will also identify improvement opportunities and monitor individual and team performance
  • You will display effective organisational skills and demonstrate a forward-thinking, career ambitious and enthusiastic approach
