My Client is recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer in the Water Sector

The role will be based from Monmouth where you will be technical team lead responsible for; designing, optimising, and implementing various wastewater treatment processes. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and effective treatment of water for various diverse sectors including Municipal, Industrial and Environmental Protection from major Infrastructure / Construction activities and projects

You will report directly to the Technical Solutions Manager as part of the Companies Techno-Commercial team and responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing wastewater treatment processes and solutions, based on Company products and actual project requirements, as well as industry standards, and complying with regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform detailed process designs and simulations to optimise wastewater treatment solutions.
  • Collaborate with companywide cross-functional teams to assess project feasibility and optimising potential options.
  • Support development of laboratory experiments and pilot-scale studies to evaluate the effectiveness of different treatment methods, to troubleshoot any operational issues, and validate proposed solutions
  • Assist in design, delivery and commissioning of solutions including production of standard deliverables (P&IDs, Outline Drawings, Control Philosophies, HAZOPs etc.)
  • Search and implement new technologies, processes & product partners to ensure optimal solutions & opportunity close out
  • Assist in identification and evaluation of potential R&D opportunities to further improve/develop solutions offered across all products & sectors.
  • Represent Company at meetings giving presentations and holding technical/commercial negotiations
  • Provide technical training & mentoring both internally and externally for clients & projects

About you

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the water-environmental sector, with practical and positive outlook. Experience from within the water industry is preferable, with knowledge of wastewater treatment, engineering delivery processes and detailed process design essential. However, what matters most is your enthusiasm to contribute to a make a difference to providing a responsive approach to wastewater treatment solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Engineering degree ideally in Process / chemical / wastewater or other directly related degree
  • Chartered or incorporated engineer status and membership of a professional institution
  • Excellent technical, analysis, data interpretation skills & in identifying project / client needs
  • Proven work experience in water process engineering field
  • Expert in wastewater treatment technologies & detail process design
  • Sound knowledge of process related standards, design requirements & project delivery process
  • Optimisation & troubleshooting skills, related risk identification, management & mitigation
  • Report writing & documentation development
  • Staff supervision, mentoring & training
  • Desired - municipal water industry experience
  • Full uk driving licence
