Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 3 months relevant experience (working with children or vulnerable adults) which can be referenced
  • Have a valid, enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to get one)
  • Be registered (or willing to register) with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • Be a passionate practitioner with the desire to improve the education outcomes for all pupils
  • Have excellent organisational skills and be able to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Be able to support and promote the ethos of the school

Duties:

  • Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Follow lesson plans and ensure that students complete assigned work
  • Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
  • Manage student behaviour and enforce school policies
  • Provide support and assistance to students as needed
  • Communicate with teachers, parents, and school administrators regarding student progress and behaviour
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times
