Are you passionate about working with children and supporting their educational journey? Academics is looking for dedicated KS2 Primary Teaching Assistant to join our team. About the Role: In this role, you will support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality education to primary school students. Your efforts will help ensure that every child receives the attention and support they need to thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery, ensuring lessons are engaging and effective.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and create an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Prepare and organise teaching materials and resources for lessons.
- Support the emotional and social development of students by fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
- Supervise students during lunch breaks, playtime, and school trips.
- Perform administrative tasks to assist the classroom teacher and maintain an orderly learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred. (KS2)
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certification, are beneficial.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with young learners.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take initiative when necessary.
