Technical Support Engineer (Electrical Biased Maintenance)

Location: Uttoxeter

Shifts:

Shift Support Engineer

  • Day Shift - 07:00-19:00 (12 hours, 4 on 4 off)
  • Night Shift 19:00 - 07:00 (12 hours, 4 on 4 off)

Day Support Engineer

  • 7:30-5pm (Mon-Fri)

About the Role

As a multi-skilled Technical Support Engineer with electrical bias, you will be an integral part of production line ensuring it operates to company standard and with maximum efficiency. You will provide technical support to the shift engineering team along with reactive and proactive engineering work and advise as a shift expert in electrical engineering as and when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilities maintenance of the site and maintenance of the warehouse, while also being on call for the crews and production need.
  • To provide hands on technical support whenever necessary to reduce engineering downtime and deliver maintenance plans.
  • Maintenance of production equipment mainly such as conveyors, ovens, RF ovens, wide range equipment.
  • Planned and Reactive maintenance with electrical bias.

About You

The ideal candidate will come from a manufacturing background and looking to further their career in a food manufacturing facility. If you have an electrical maintenance or engineering background, this role is perfect for you.

Key Skills/Qualifications

  • Electrical Engineering knowledge, experience and background
  • Mechanical Engineering is beneficial
  • Good level of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) experience
  • Manufacturing industry is beneficial
  • Full and appropriate levels of electrical certification is ideal, which is supported by practical ability and experience - NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds Level 3, EAL Level 3, HNC in electrical engineering or electrical maintenance or similar relevant qualifications.
