Our client is seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Manager to join their team in Uttoxeter. What you'll do:

As a Health and Safety Manager, your role will be pivotal in promoting health and safety awareness across the site. You will coordinate and monitor safety-related processes including risk assessment, training, accident investigation, workplace safety audits ensuring inspections are satisfactorily completed. Your expertise will be crucial in advising management on health & safety legislation, safe methods of working, prevention of hazards to health and the suitability of plant, protective equipment and control measures.

  • Understand and promote the use of company H&S Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintain the Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) plan and support delivery of all associated actions.
  • Arrange H&S courses, inductions, and meetings, producing materials and agendas as required.
  • Facilitate the reporting and investigation of all H&S incidents, ensuring that root cause is identified.
  • Coach and mentor managers to improve their investigation skills.

What you bring:

You have proven your ability to assist with the effective implementation of a H&S management system. Your strong interpersonal skills enable you to build relationships quickly at all levels.   • Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role within a logistics environment.

  • Hands-on approach.
