About the Role: In this role, you will support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality education to primary school students. Your efforts will help ensure that every child receives the attention and support they need to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery, ensuring lessons are engaging and effective.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and create an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
  • Prepare and organise teaching materials and resources for lessons.
  • Support the emotional and social development of students by fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
  • Supervise students during lunch breaks, playtime, and school trips.
  • Perform administrative tasks to assist the classroom teacher and maintain an orderly learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred. (KS2)
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certification, are beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with young learners.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take initiative when necessary.
