Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and supporting the overall maintenance strategy of the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure the reliability and performance of machinery and equipment.
  • Respond to and efficiently resolve machinery breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
  • Support in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with the operations team to improve machine performance and reliability.
  • Conduct fault-finding and diagnostic activities, using both manual and automated systems.
  • Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed to the highest safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
  • Continuously monitor and improve machinery performance and processes.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (e.g., City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent).
  • Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with PLCs and fault-finding.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proactive and hands-on approach to maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
