Front End Developer - Web

We have an exciting opportunity for a front-end-focused software developer to join our client’s team in Rocester (near Uttoxeter, Staffordshire). You will work on various projects and collaborate with Senior Software Developers and the business to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software, ensuring best practices and innovative approaches within the team.

We will support your learning through line management and mentoring, online training, but a proactive candidate who can motivate themselves is essential.

You must be highly motivated, analytical, and willing to work closely with all parts of the business. Responsibilities will include translating UI/UX designs into responsive web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as integrating with .NET-based backends and diagnosing issues across the application stack.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in front-end web development
  • Strong proficiency in ASP. Net/MVC
  • Expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail
  • A love of solving problems creatively
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and go the extra mile when needed
  • Aptitude for continuous learning and development
  • Client-facing experience
  • Proven track record of delivering projects from design to completion
  • Experience building eCommerce (or similar) solutions for large user bases in multiple languages

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of VB. NET (desirable but not essential)
  • Understanding of OOP principles and SOLID methodologies
  • Experience with REST/SOAP API development
  • Experience in mobile development
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure
  • Ability to investigate technical issues and develop appropriate fixes
  • Awareness of current technical and industry trends
