They are currently seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our team and support students in need.

Role Overview: As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in assisting students with behaviour management and providing one-to-one mentoring sessions. Your resilience and strong behaviour management skills will be essential in guiding and supporting students towards positive outcomes. This position is temporary and will be in effect until the end of the academic year.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify pupils in need of behaviour support through collaboration with teachers and staff.
  • Conduct one-to-one mentoring sessions with identified pupils, providing guidance and support in managing their behaviour.
  • Develop personalised strategies and interventions to help pupils better manage their behaviour and improve their overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
  • Maintain accurate records of mentoring sessions and student progress, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Resilience and a proactive approach to supporting students with diverse needs and backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students, staff, and parents.
  • A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of young people and a commitment to promoting inclusive and supportive environments.
