Role Overview

Reporting to the UK Finance Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in managing lease accounting for over 350 active leases and supporting the financial reporting of live music events. You'll ensure timely and accurate reporting, provide technical accounting expertise, and support cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Lease Accounting

  • Full ownership of the Leased Asset Accounting Model (IFRS 16/IAS 17).
  • Post period-end journals for base rent, turnover rent, rent reviews, and related transactions.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
  • Provide insightful commentary for period-end reporting.

Property Support

  • Respond to landlord payment queries and support the Property Team.
  • Assist with periodic AP Property payment runs and turnover certificates.
  • Support cash flow forecasting and budget preparation for assigned areas.

Music Event Accounting

  • Provide technical accounting guidance to the Assistant Reporting Accountant for Music.
  • Supervise accounting entries and support month-end reviews related to live events.

General Support

  • Approve invoices via Chrome River (expense system).
  • Assist external auditors during interim and year-end audits.
About You

We're looking for a self-starter who takes ownership and thrives on collaboration. To succeed in this role, you'll bring:Essential:

  • Progression toward or completion of a recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Proven experience in accounting entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of lease accounting (IFRS 16/IAS 17).
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., Pivot Tables, Macros).

Desirable:

  • Experience with JDE or similar accounting systems.
