Role description:
We are seeking a temporary Qualified Accountant to manage key financial processes within the organisation (starting immediately for a period of 3-4 months).
Hybrid working but must be onsite for Wednesday and Thursdays.
This role involves handling the preparation and analysis of management accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for the year end audit, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Additionally, the role will involve integration work across financial systems, with a focus on optimizing the use of Microsoft Dynamics.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyse management accounts for the business, providing insights to senior management.
- Lead and assist with external year end audit, liaising with auditors to ensure timely and compliant financial reporting.
- Support system integration projects, especially in relation to financial systems like Microsoft Dynamics.
- Assist with forecasting, and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting regulations (UK GAAP) and tax laws.
- Continuously look for improvements in accounting processes and systems.
- Assist with ad-hoc finance tasks and projects as needed.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Fully qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent.
- Strong experience in management accounting and audit.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Dynamics (or other similar ERP systems).
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
- Experience in group consolidations including foreign subsidiaries
- Worked in PR backed company
- Dealt with banking covenants
