Property & Music AccountantPermanentUxbridgeHybrid Up to £50KAre you a newly qualified accountant with a passion for finance and a knack for detail? Join our clients team as the support the growth and management of our rental and music portfolios. In this role, you'll take ownership of lease accounting and reporting, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial information to support their management and music teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lease Accounting & Reporting: Own the accounting for all leases, including updates to IFRS16 models, journal postings, and reporting for period-end accounts. Prepare supplementary information for the Group Finance team.
  • Music Accounting: Ensure timely and accurate reporting of show results, coordinating closely with management and music teams.
  • IAS 17 Compliance: Manage period-end journals for base rent, turnover rent, rent reviews, rent-free periods, and other related entries.
  • Support & Queries: Handle landlord payment queries, assist with property AP runs, prepare turnover certificates, and work closely with the property team.
  • Balance Sheet & GL Support: Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, investigate reconciling items, provide GL account commentary, and assist with cash flow forecasting and budgeting.
  • System & Process Support: Approve invoices in Chrome River, assist with audit processes, and take on ad hoc tasks as needed.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • IFRS16 Knowledge: Prior experience with IFRS16 lease accounting is a plus.
  • Analytical & Self-Motivated: Able to take initiative, analyse data, and drive solutions.
  • Tech-Savvy & Detail-Oriented: Proficient in Excel, with strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative & Communicative: Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-player mindset, ready to liaise with multiple departments.
  • Organised & Timely: Strong organisational skills to meet deadlines with precision and accuracy.
