The RoleWe are seeking a Tax Director to join our one of our regional offices office and contribute to our ongoing expansion. This leadership role involves managing a team of tax professionals and overseeing personal and corporate tax compliance and advisory services. Reporting to senior management, you will be instrumental in shaping the firm’s tax strategy and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring outstanding service.

  • Collaborate with partners on complex, high-value tax advisory matters.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the tax team in preparing transaction documents for company reorganisations, share schemes, property transfers, trusts, corporate sales and acquisitions, and demergers.

  • Draft technical responses to HMRC enquiries.

  • Oversee team management, including recruitment, training, and performance reviews.

  • Identify and implement special tax projects to enhance client offerings.

  • Support business development by attracting and onboarding new clients.

Candidate Profile

  • CTA qualified with at least 10 years of post-qualification experience.

  • In-depth knowledge of UK tax legislation and compliance requirements.

  • Strong technical and advisory expertise.

  • Passion for delivering outstanding client service.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in IT, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and accounting software.

  • Experience in managing risk within tax compliance work.
