A large, mixed secondary academy in Uxbridge are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and confident Cover Supervisor to join their school on a full-time basis for the summer term.
The Role
This is a vital role within the school, providing classroom supervision in the absence of teaching staff and supporting students to remain focused and engaged in their learning.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions to classes during teacher absence
- Maintain a purposeful and safe learning environment for all students
- Provide support and encouragement to help students stay on task
- Uphold school policies and manage classroom behaviour positively and effectively
- Be flexible and responsive to the needs of the school day, including covering lessons at short notice
The school are looking for someone who:
- Has a clear, confident, and engaging communication style
- Demonstrates strong, positive classroom management skills
- Is organised, adaptable, and able to work independently
- Is committed to supporting students in their learning and development
Previous experience in a school setting or with young people is desirable, but not essential.
