Our client a leading provider of supported housing is seeking a Housing and Support Assistant to provide essential support to our housing management team and serve as the first point of contact for our residents and visitors.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:- Serve as the first point of contact for residents and visitors, providing information, holistic advice, and high-quality customer service.
- Manage reception duties including operating the telephone switchboard, sorting post, logging repairs, and processing payments.
- Perform safety roles such as designated first aider and fire marshal, responsible for building evacuations during emergencies.
- Conduct regular patrols and Wellbeing and Facilities checks throughout the shift.
- Assist with the intake of residents, ensuring all paperwork is completed and policies are clearly explained.
- Manage building access, ensuring only authorized entry, and handle key distribution and collection.
- Monitor and report on maintenance issues and ensure Health and Safety standards are maintained.
- Experience in a customer-facing environment that requires problem-solving and a positive approach.
- Good working knowledge of equality and diversity; a Housing Diploma or related qualification is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to advocate, negotiate, and mediate.
- Good organisational skills combined with proficiency in IT systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
